Don't know about dell bluetooth's exact range, according to wikipedia Bluetooth 2.0 should have a 100 meter range and 3mbps rate.

My motorola v360 has a bluetooth with range of about 10meters. The phone has lot of features (including still camera n video recording) and it cost me cdn $120 with no telecom contract etc. Why Dell charges cdn $50 for Bluetooth. Should be $20 or $30 max.

Thanks for the answer. I'm just thinking to buy Sony Ericsson Bluetooth HBH-PV705 Headset to use with skype. Any idea if it will work at all, yet alone that 100m.

No idea why it wouldn't. As long as you use the stack provided by dell and not the windows stack, you should be golden. I never had any problems getting devices to pair.
