    My e1505 is getting really warm on the right side after a lot of use, right by that vent thing next to the backspace key, also by the headphone jack and card reader, is this normal? do i have a malfunctioning fan?

    that's where the HD is.
    i always use an ANtec Notebook cooler for it.

    yeah, itd be nice if the e1505/i6000 had a second fan on the right.... i need a cooling pad
