    Hello All

I have been playing around will the Dell config screen for the E1505 and I wonder if you can configured it as a mid range gaming laptop? I know that the highest vidoe card for this model is the ATI x1400 so I would like to hear from everyone who has this model to tell me what is the preformance like for this setup.

    We need more information:

    -complete specs
    -what games you play
    -what settings you use
    -what frame rates you expect

The x1400 is a decent card and depending on your expectations can be a perfectly viable solution.

Please see the GPU guide for more information.

I would like to play some RTS games like BFME, CC3, the new Battlestation Midway game, Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War, and if possiable Supreme Commander!

I don't really want to play FPS on the laptop but I may try Half life 2 and Battlefield 2. Anything else thats better then these I won't try it on the laptop.

Also thanks for that GPU guide link!

If gaming is a high priority, I wouldnt look at any dells aside from the 9400/1705/xps. I would go with a machine that has a x1600/1700 or 7600/7700 minimum. The 1400 and the 7400 are good cards, but they already struggle with current titles, they are a good fit for a causal gamer, but for a "gaming" system, you will want more horsepower.

That won't be able to play those games very well. It should technically run them, but I doubt they will run well.
