Hi All. I'm hoping someone here can assist me in pinning down what this app is. On occasion, this app shows up in my task bar. When I click on it, the following app is displayed. None of the buttons do anything and there is no text at all. Could it be some type of Dell provided WildTangent app??
Any info is appreciated. This app does not show up in the Task Manager.![]()

I had the same problem after I removed all the bloatware that came with my E1705. The program is macrovision's installshield update manager that I believe is used with Dell support. (I think the corresponding process is UPMS.exe? or something, I forget)
Here's the uninstaller:

Oh, it's for Sonic then. I couldn't figure out what program it was for. Sonic and all it's remnants were removed, but this thing kept popping up; kept driving me crazy. The 'Other Control Panel' you mentioned, is that a Sonic option in Control Panel?

Look for "sonic update manager" in your Add/Remove Programs, if it's there, uninstall it since you don't need anymore because you've removed the Sonic software. If it's not listed, you need to remove it from Windows Registry using a 3rd party startup manager or by simply using the Windows Registry Editor.
If you want a freeware startup manager, you can get WinPatrol - http://www.winpatrol.com then go to startup tab. Locate isssch in the list. Delete it. The said icon will go away
If you want to remove it using the Windows Registry:
Start>Run>type regedit then hit OK
Locate HKEY_Local Machine\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVerson\Run then look for issch at the right pane then delete it.
Backup your registry prior modifying or deleting anything -
Thanks for the info; I did remove most of the Sonic software from Add/Remove, but I had a feeling it was in the registry. That uninstall link has worked fine so far, but I'll know later tonight if it did or not when I get back and turn on the lap.
