    Just received E1705, under system property it says it is Dell inspirion 9400 is this right ???

    yes. it is the E1705/9400. They are simply branded different

    here in the uk the 9400 is aimed at home users and the e1705 is aimed at the business side of things. The only difference being for the home we get WinXP MCE

    i dunno if its different over there from here in the us, but its the exact opposite. the e1705US is home while the 9400US is business, and i believe both come with XP MCE though there is always the option to downgrade to home for free or upgrade to PRO. The 9400US has dell's business warranty and support which is typically superior to the home support, but that's just an opinion.
