I love my new E1705, it has a 2ghz core duo, 7900 GS, 2 gigs RAM, and 60 gig 7200 RPM HD. The only downside is when in battery mode it lasts about 2 hours tops.

    A couple of questions:

    1. Are there batteries I can get for this laptop that last longer?

    2. Is it possible to recharge extra batteries with a device other than the laptop, if so, where do I get this device?

    Thank you very much.

There is a 9-cell battery (what I have). I get about 3 hours of bat time without gaming, around 2.25 when playing a light game.

There really isn't much you can do about it. I just keep mine on AC almost all of the time, but the components in your laptop use ALOT of juice, so there's not much you can do.

Our configurations are nearly identical. :)

I'll get the 9-cell battery they offer.

Is there a way to recharge batteries without the laptop?
