    Hi, can you tell me, what is the average battery life of a Dell Inspiron E1705 with GF go 7900GS? Is it more than 2 hours? (when not playing games :D )

    Thank you and please share your experience ;)

    With the 6 cell you will be getting around 1.5 -2hours, but that's pushing it.

    With a nine cell maybe around 2-3 hours but most likely not more than 4

    Thank you all :) That is what I wanted to hear :) And what about Dell itself? Did you have any problems with Dell laptops?

    I ran a movie (Blade 2) for 1hr 56 minutes and the Windows battery meter said there was 15 minutes left. That was with sound going through a USB Audigy (has it's own power) and using VLC as the player.
    That is with the 9-cell battery.

    That is within a couple of minutes of what what my last 1705 with a 7800 did.

    No problems with Dell, I actually will say that my recent dealings with them have brought Dell to my short list of companies with great support. I go through EPP and they seem to have a better attitude toward customers than the Home support crew does. YMMV...

    Edit: correcting "156 minutes" => "1hr 56 minutes".

    Oh, sounds great. Probably I will buy one :)
    Does that mean that DELL laptops dont go bad so often? Are they staple?
