    My E1705 dvd burner is a sony DVD+-RW DW-Q58A.
I've been having some issues and i am done trying to fix it. So i want to try a different drive on my computer and see if that helps.

I looked on the download site and it has 5 8x DVD +- RW drives.
(No support for my Q58A... anyone know why?)

    There are :
    HLDS GDR-8084N slim 8x DVD,
    NEC ND-6650A slim 8x DVD+/-RW,
    QSI SDVD8820 slim 8x DVD+/-RW,
    TSST TS-L532B slim 8x DVD+/-RW,
    TSST TS-L632D slim 8x DVD+/-RW,

Which would be the best brand?
LG (HLDS... im pretty sure its LG), NEC, QSI, or TSST?

The only brand i really heard of id LG when it comes to Drives. so im leaning towards that one.

So will dell let me choose which brand i want for a replacement?
and which brand is the best brand for dvd-drives?

    Thanks
