I was excited to see my order fly through the stages.. a few hours of the Testing phase

We have reviewed your order. Although we had anticipated being able to ship your order sooner, we are experiencing an unexpected delay with your order XXXXXXXX and will not be able to ship this order and any associated orders until on or before 05-15-2006.

May 16 was the original projected ship date.

    Are delays during testing normal?

EDIT: Oops. I had two orders, the laptop and a remote. The remote was the one that got delayed. Phew! :)

I would say the norm is 2 days for prep and test, 5 days for boxing and shipping stage.

Seems like the Boxing phase would be the quickest. That is the stage my wife's laptop is in. The estimated ship date is 5/18. It is crazy that it is going to take 9 business days to get it into a box and out the door.

The "boxing" phase with dell is when it's shipped from Asia to your doorstep.

I think boxing stage is when it is shipped from Asia to Dell in USA.

Shipping is from Dell in USA to doorstep...

Of course, I could be wrong. Yes, I could. But not really.
