I really have my heart set on getting a laptop with a geforce 7900gs and it seems that the e1705 is the cheapest laptop that I've found with this video card. Right now, I can afford the base line e1705 configuration with the 7900gs and the C2D T5300 processor, but in about a month I could afford to get the C2D T7200 processor instead of the T5300.
However, with the new Inspiron models looming on the corner, I'm concerned that the Dell coupons for $500 off might not run when the new models are released. So, should I go ahead and get the T5300 or chance it and wait until I can afford the T7200?
The laptop will mostly serve as a gaming machine and I don't plan on using it for any processor intensive applications, and so I'm wondering if I would really even benefit by getting the T7200 over the T5300. On that note, I could save a bit more if I went for the T2350 instead of the T5300, but I'm not sure the performance difference and it is only a $50 price difference. I don't plan on using 64bit OS's, so it is something to consider.

When gaming the CPU is not nearly as important as the GPU. I suspect Dell will have some coupons with the new machine, but don't have any inside info.
