Hey guys I got my e1505 last week and it owns. It's pretty much destroyed anything I've thrown at it including games all running at near max settings. So I have a couple q's about it though.
1. My CPU usage is always right around 40%...whats up with this? It doesn't seem to be affecting system performance but it is annoying me.When I go to Task manager three process are mainly giving me problems. It is saying under CPU that nvsvc32.exe is at roughly 20,spoolsv.exe is at roughly 20, and crss.exe is roughly 10. The memory usage isn't that high for anything just the number under the CPU column for those process's are kind of high.
2. I am running dual moniter mode with my old desktop. It is wicked cool. I mostly have widgets on the old CRT. But what I really want to do is have firefox and a game running at the same time on each on a different screen. Is there anyway to be able to click and browse the web without minimizing the game on the other screen?
3. How much, if at all does running dual screens effect my performance?

Sounds like spyware/adware as i have had this same problem. Get a good spyware remover (adaware/ewido/spybot etc.) and run it in safe mode to get rid of your first problem.
-
Have you reformatted the system yet?
Consider it. -
I doubt it is spyware since the first thing I did was dowload adaware, avg, zonealarm, ccleaner, and spycatcher. Plus it is only a week old. And I have looked up the files online spoolsv.exe is a spooler for the printer. Some people say it can eat up system resources if you have a bunch of documents in que(some documents get stuck there). But I don't even have a printer hooked up. The nvsvc.exe is part of my nVidia driver so that is normal. And I am not sure what the crss.exe is. I havn't reformatted, I have the re-installation cd too. I just don't want to screw anything up. I have some more questions.
4.How do you set a different backround for each of the screens in dual mode.
5. My internet connection is really weird. It will be fine and then it will just crash, it does this during games and just browsing the intenet and sometime it will crash without me doing anything. I think it is my firewall blockking somethin. But I have all my games and firefox un blocked from the firewall.wtf? -

Are you running a printer off your laptop? If not, disable spoolserver in services. nvsvc32.exe is nVidia as you probably know - ur graphics possibly working hard for two displays?
-
I disable the spooler, only for it to return in like a minute. And it doesn't even make that big of a difference. Looks like I might have to reformat. Can you use the re-installation disk more than once?
My internet connection is getting worse. It drops very often now. Plus how come I have T1 and my friend has DSL and he's faster than me? -

You can use your reinstall OS CD as many times as you like on the system it's licensed to.
Don't know about your connection.
Reformatting is no biggie, have a read of the guide, any problems just post then on here. -
I disabled it in task manager. I think I am going to just re format. I just read the guide and it doesn't sound to hard. The only thing is what should I do for the partitions, should I just leave the diagnostics one and make one ther one for everything else.

You can delete all partitions (minus the HPA)or leave the same amount remaining. If you've got a system with three visible partitions, you can 'delete - create - format' the windows partition, install Windows, run the MediaDirect repair CD, and you'll be left with a system that has:
Diagnostics off the HDD
Windows Installation
Capability of restoration to it's 'Dell first use' state
