Dell states the brightness of 1705 screen with truelife is 185 cd/m2 only. It's a pretty low comparing to desktop LCD screens. Owners of the e1705 with truelife - how do you find your screen brightness and overall quality?

I have it, and it's great. The screen feels well protected, and I keep my brightness at half, because if its on full and you're using it for a while, it hurts your eyes. But that's just me.

I would agree. I was surprised to read reviews that complained about the screen brightness because it's more than bright enough for me (almost too much at full setting).

The truelife screen is plenty bright. I usually keep it at half strength. On a side note, during a recent power outage I used my 1705 truelife screen at max power to light up my bathroom!
