I need to get a mouse for my e1705, I use the mx518 (wired) on my desktop and it's the best mouse I ever used. The best wireless I could find is the v400 but I heard it has some problems and isn't great for gaming (the only resaon I need a mouse). My question is will the mx518 kill the battery alot faster then the v400? I wish the g7 used normal batteries.

the usb power consumption is so marginal between a wired mouse and a wireless mouse that your only concern should be gaming performance.
