E1705 buying prehaps today

I am thinking of buying the below configuration and getting 2gig of ram of newegg is this a good price or could i have some how done better. Any help would be appreciated as have decided to purchase this laptop. After a 14 day cruise in the baltics "cruise was free i dont have lots of money" . Help thx

It's an awesome laptop. I would recommend getting the 2 gigs of DDR2 memory, it really helps. The only thing I dislike about this laptop is that it is preloaded with a LOT of useless software (AOL, spyware, adware, etc.). When I started my laptop for the first time I had 84 programs that loaded up. Now I have 33. The graphics on this thing are amazing. My desktop has a Nvidia Geforce 6200 and this card blows it away! I got mine at a better price than yours, $1600 (including 2 GB DDR2, Office 2003 Prof., and Creative Audigy ADVANCED MB.) Overall its a great laptop, buy it.

 

It is a awesome laptop but if you want 2 gig of memory get it from newegg memory is alot cheaper there

 

Well I got mine from Ebay and it had 2 gigs of memory already installed. Go to newegg though, they got awesome prices.

 

I bought mine for $1305 from dell.com with coupons. The only thing is, it's too big for my day-to-day use. Other than that i love it. If your interested you can buy mine....I want to get a macbook (sorry Dell guys!..
