Do you have hibernate enabled in the power settings?

Can you just turn it off? How long are you gonna want it in hibernation?

    Yes, the hibernation is enabled.

I dont always know how long it will be in Hib. mode. i usually use it during car rides to watch movies, or homework, and i want to be able to hibernate so i can stsart exactly where i left off.

Perhaps. Have you experimented with different power schemes? Also, have you reinstalled the operating system or done anything to your operating system recently? Has hibernation ever worked?
