I haven't had this problem with other computers. On the laptop, however, I can't see many of the words on dialogue boxes. An example: in Photoshop, there are different dialogue boxes that include quick tips or those in the printing options. The words are already tiny, but to add fuel, the tops and bottoms of the words are chopped off. I'm too often finding myself looking up images of the dialogue boxes on the internet so I could see what it is REALLY supposed to say.
I recently changed the resolution, but this has been happening since I got the computer in 06.
Anyone with the same problem? If this is too flaky to understand, I'll try to upload a reference picture.

A reference picture would indeed be helpful...

I'm sorry it took so long. Life isn't a straight single-lane highway, lemme tell ya!
OK, here it is (a blown-up version, since the actual size is rather small):
Does this look familiar to anyone? Like I said, it happens in Photoshop; which is why I initially blamed Adobe. But since I've seen it occur in other programs, I'm now suspecting the settings on the computer...but what? It's not the resolution. I've already tested that. -
It almost reminds me of one of those 70s-style cereal box puzzles where you cut out the word, fold it in half and hold it against a mirror to see the entire word.
Like I said, in order to figure out what it says, I often have to go online, type in the key words (in this case, bridge, settings, and behavior) and googasearch under images. -
Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is that the fonts are too big. Have you changed them at all?
-
Not at all, and I blew up the picture for easier viewing. Normally, the font is very small in size. Thanks for your reply, though.
Any other suggestions or possibilities? -
Can you take a picture of your desktop, specifically a place where some icons are?
