I re-imaged my notebook and xp media center edition can't detect one of my devices. So far I can't figure out what it is. It's right under the Network Adapters. Its " Other Devices " and has 3 Base system devices listed.
Bluetooth, net adapers, firewire, usb, secure digital, modem, and the more obvious ones are okay. Any ideas?

Did you install all of the items listed in SouthernGirl's install guide? Did you download all of the drivers/software for your 1705 from the Dell driver site?

I downloaded the hardware drivers from the Dell site for what's on my system.
Just checked Southern Girl's driver section and seem to have everything covered, yet I'm missing something.

I'm hoping someone with an identical system or close to it can post their device manager screen.

    Thanks!

Skye - I think I know what your talking about. I checked my Device Manager in Windows Vista and under Other Devices I have something called Base System Device. I believe we have near identical configurations. I'm not really worried about it too much, because everything else is functioning. I'm going to assume it has something to do with some onboard Intel device. And you can go to Intels website and download the Chipset INF and that might cure it.

I'm pretty sure they are the Ricoh SD card drivers.
