depends on the route, and what time UPS normally goes by your house each day

What time does the UPS truck go by usually?

If it happens to come when your at work, then they will leave a note on the door saying they were there. Then you can go pick it up before 7 (local time) right at the distribution center down the street

My E1705 shipped today, and according to the Dell website, the estimated delivery date is June 13, 2006 (tomorrow). However, when I click on my tracking number, it takes me to the Fedex tracking page, and on there, it says the delivery estimate is June 15, 2006. In the details part of that page, it says "Future delivery requested". The thing is, Dell has given me free next day shipping, so I should be recieving it tomorrow. I don't understand why Fedex has a different delivery date than Dell. The package was picked up at Nashville, TN at 2:23 AM this morning and that is the only status that is listed on the page. Is there any chance that I will recieve the package tomorrow? I live in NJ. I would really like to recieve it tomorrow. And the thing is, I need to know if I should take off from work tomorrow or the 15th. I already spoke to Dell and they said that they can not guarantee any day, but they will send a special request to Fedex to deliver the package ASAP. What do you guys think. Has something like this every happened to you?

I'm going to say that there is only a slight chance that it will be delivered tomorrow - depending on where you live.

If it says that it has only been picked up in Nashville, and you don't live anywhere near Nashville, I don't see how it could be there tomorrow.

I don't know why a future delivery request was put on your package. Maybe Dell was running behind, and didn't get your package off of the trucks in time to get it delivered tomorrow.

Just be patient. It will be delievered sometime this week. If you want to have a customize laptop that fits your needs, you have to play the waiting game. We all did.

Please don't create new threads for the same issue.

usually that means that Dell has requested that your laptop be delievered on a future date. Most companies just send stuff through UPS/FedEx and they carriers deliver the package when they receive it.

Dell has contracts with all 3 major shipping companies, and there are certain conditions - like you can't change the address through your shipping company. If you want your laptop to be delivered to a different address, you have to call dell and dell has to request it.

My guess is that dell told FedEx to change the date because as i stated, there is only a slight chance that it will be delivered tomorrow. It could happen, but that just depends on your location and what type of shipping your package actually does have - not the type of shipping that dell says that you have.

I called Dell and my shipping got upgraded to overnight (supposedly), and it took 3 days to get from dell to my house - but i live out in the sticks.

Well here is me Today acording to the tracking of Dell site my e1705 supost to be out for delivery today !yey!
Here is my concern I ask about this in a early post, ups is delivering today but dell have not taken the money out of my debit checking account so does has anybody have this happen, I thought Dell takes the money when the item gets shipped?
And I never had a tracking # e-mail to me either or Dell dont always e-mail it?
So will see if ups actually brings something or a empty box, and I even call in sick to work
Just kidding is my Day off but I think I would have call in, maybe!

I would just wait a couple days on the payment issue. Dell is kind of iffy on whether an email on the shipping.
