    E1705 sound buttons don't work

    I unistalled ffdshow from my computer and all of the sudden the sound buttons on the front of my E1705 don't work. If i press them the sound volume bar thing comes up but wont move. Also the fn+page up/page down which does the same thing doesn't work. The play/pause/stop/fast forward etc. buttons all work as well as the media direct button. I reinstalled quickset and still the sound buttons dont work.
    any suggestion?
    ps. the sound still works but i can only change it manually with the mouse.

    i already reinstalled quickset and they still dont work. and then reinstalled ffdshow and still nothing.
