    what are your specs?, the problem your describing could be related to your cpu, not your video card, I'm pretty sure your using a core duo, one thing you could try is to set the affinity for the game,( dedicating it to a single core) start the game, press alt-tab to switch to the desktop, open the task manager, click the processes tab, and right click the game, scroll down and click set affinity, and uncheck one of the cpu's, I had to do that on some older games when I first got my amd x2, some games looked like an episode of benny hill, and that took care of it, you should also update your drivers, and if you are trying to play the game on battery, power management could be causing some of your problems as well
