I am trying to configure an E1705 from Dell's site but the only graphics card it says it comes with is the ATI 1400. I would like something a little faster than just the 1400. Any know if this is possible. I am pretty sure it is since I see on people's specs they have very decent cards in the E1705. Maybe I just have to call up Dell.

a few months back, dell offered the 7800 with the e1705 for a short while but switched to the x1400.

They used to offer the 7800Go, which was a dedicated 256MB card. They took it off because of heat issues and short supply. There is a rumor right now that they might release it with a 7900Go, but not really confirmed yet.
Hope this helps. -
That would be a very very VERY nice addition. But, I wish they would release some with the new ATI graphics card.

Unfortunately the Nvidia 7800go graphics chipset has been discontinued on this model and been replaced by the ATI x1400 as you've stated. Pretty poor substitute but whether the the 7800 or 7900 will be introduced is unknown.

I will wait then on the E1705 model, or I might try Aces, even though they have problems too.
