    Hello All,

Just thought I'd let you all know that my replacement E1705 with 7800go just made it to the "boxing" phase of production. It had been stuck at "Order Processing" for the past 4 weeks. This may mean that they now have a new shipment of 7800's in!!

Just thought I'd share the info! Not sure when it will show up on their configuration page, I'm assuming they'll fill all current orders/replacements first.

It really is an outstanding notebook thus far, I really like the performance and the 40% overclock I can get on the 7800go.. The screen is pretty sweet as well as the dual core processors.

I was surprised how bad the stock drivers actually were - at first I was only able to get around 4000 on 3DMark05 - however, OCed, I get around 6000!

My 9400 with gf7800 has been shipped yesterday as well. :D
It was shipped on exact same day my DELL rep told me, when I ordered it on 15th March.

Strange that... I ordered my E1705 on March 7th, the day before they took the 7800go option off the web.

Dell called me today, and said that the 7800GO had been discontinued  . I could either switch to the X1400, or cancel the order and get an XPS M170.

Sooo... I now have an XPS as comparably equpped as I could get it on order.

I'm still using the stock drivers overclocked with Riva Tuner for now. I am very happy with the performance thus far. And the dual core makes a difference, it allows me to run some stuff in teh backround while playing games and alt-tabbing out is super smooth now, no slight hesitation like on my desktop. :)

My replacement is still in the "boxing" phase, has been for 2 days now :( hmm..at least it moved on from processing over the past 4 weeks. I hope the card is not discontinued...that would be a shame. Alienware's 7700 now has the 7800go as well....hmmm...

    Mine's shipped too.

I do hope the new shipments have better cooling...cos if they do - that means I can overclock it more! Weehee! :D
