I know some things are 'possible',but Dell says its impossible along with this other tech support forum I asked on,so I figured id ask here
I have an E1705 with the Geforce 7900GS and would really like to upgrade to something DirectX10,if possible, but if not, wouldn't the 7950GTX fit in my laptop, because there dosent seem to be much difference in my 1705 then in the newer 1710 notebooks, least the outside view anyway.
Also,if the 7950GTX is the only possible upgrade, would it be worth the cost and effort?

The Go 7900/7950 GTX is the only possible upgrade...
You can see how to do it in this guide:

As for the price, I'm not sure how much it's going to cost, so check that out (Dell and Ebay), and keep in mind the video card should be from the XPS M1710 since Dell don't use standard MXM format. -
so,just to make sure, its proven that that DX10 cards wont fit in this laptop?
it seems that card runs arond 400 on ebay, pondering weather the benchmarks are worth of an upgrade worth that much or not
E1705,possible video card upgrades?
