    E1705- DVI connection

    I try to use DVI Cable to connet between my laptop to Nec Multisyn LCD4010 42" and there is nothing coming up !!! Then I tried VGA-16pins and it worked !!! Please tell me how can I connect via DVI Cable ( My Laptop has Geforce Go 7800).

    Sounds like you have more than 1 connection to the monitor - is there a button where you can cycle through the connection like going through different channels on a tv.

    yeah its usually function F8, try doing that to cycle through the connections...

    There is nothing live Button Switch on LCD and I tried to press F8 ( even Fn-F8 ) and still not work !!!

    Are you using your laptop on ac or battery power? Sometimes you might need to adjust battery properties settings for that. Also, you might need to adjust display property, go to the destop and right click, bringing the properties tab up and identify. You Nec LCD4010 has a button, third from the right: power, mute and input and you should be able to cycle through the various selections of inputs. You might need to adjust your monitor's OSM (on screen management) there is a dvi setting there as well. If none of those work, you might want to test you notebook's dvi connection another lcd to see if it works to determine where the actual hardware problem may be.

    Yes, I turn it to RGB1 ( on LCD ) and some how its working then It stop connection after I restart my comp !!! Might be Im not doing right with Nvidia Configure ( but I dont know how to Setup ) !!!
