These are currently my top two choices.
I'm looking for a laptop with a SSD, good battery life (3+ hours), and a large, comfortable keyboard.
Would the E6500 or the M1530 be better? If neither are a good choice, what would you suggest? Thanks.

Are you looking for more power (especially graphics) or not really? It is usually a good idea to fill out the FAQ in the what notebook should i buy forum.

Regardless, with just those 3 criteria, I would go with the E6500. It's really well built, and has excellent battery life. Keep in mind that while the M1530 may be cheaper, it's built on the last-generation Intel technology.

The M1530 is a bit outdated, and has a faulty Nvidia graphics card. Definitely go with the Latitude E6500 if you want a great keyboard and better battery life.

I did post "what notebook should I buy?" forum and the E6400 was suggested but my follow-up questions were not answered.
Yup, I could get the M1530 for about $400 less than the E6500 but I'm willing to shell out a bit more if it results in a much better notebook. Thanks for the advice.
Do you know if there are any Dell reps or coupons that could reduce the price for the E6500?

I am extremely picky about laptops as you can see from my attached picture of the laptops I currently own (the E6500 is the one closest to the camera). I am very happy with my E6500 and would recommend this as a great balance of power, battery life, and quietness.

You can see how I managed to get 9 hours of battery life out of the 6 cell battery here:

The Outlet search is frustrating. It lets you specify screen size but not resolution, drive size but not SATA or SSD, or even different types of network cards. Grrr. But, awesome prices. :) Anyway, thanks for all your help.

I have both e6400 and M1530. I found out that I like the 1530 keyboard better...the blue pinpoint on my e6400 is annoying.
