I put the new xps studio 1640 in my cart with EPP discount, but saw no option for free shipping, is that normal?

If you call in, you can probably get free shipping if you ask.

Agreed with Greg, just call..you can normally get it for free if you ask! :D
    Always, has worked for me....

I never order via online with EPP.. I configure what I want, and then call my EPP Rep. Most of the time, I can get better pricing!

    Cin ;) :)

Interesting, the couple times I have looked at EPP, I ended up finding it cheaper by ordering some other way so I pretty much gave up on it. I guess calling in is the secret.

Calling in doesn't always give you the best deals. EPP deals generally are only slightly better than normal deals, unless like the M1530 where its been out for well over a year where they offer 25% off for NON-EPP, stack it up with EPP as well maximizes the amount of savings you get.

Dell Sales reps over the phone have some leeway in trying to get you to buy their products by being able to offer you up to like a 5% discount (lower tier dell reps) and free shipping. Free shipping is typically what they freely use, but discounts are usually reserved and used sparsely regardless EPP or non-EPP.

There are occasionally EXTREMELY good EPP deals that come out. Just check their special EPP sales each month.

I think it depends on the Rep you get..and they are supposed to match and/or beat the deals on Dell's consumer site. Every order I have placed has been a good one. And, I have also followed Les's suggestions in the past on getting a great deal! ;)

I hope it all works for you..and you get a good deal!

    Cin ;) :)
