    Hello,

I work for a government agency that has informed us of a $750 off $1499 coupon later this week for our EPP. In addition to that, there is a smaller percentage taken off depending upon how much you spend.

I want to buy a laptop (my first). Depending on the configurations available, I will either go with the 6000 or 9300. Anyway, my question is, is this a good deal or should I wait for another coupon from Dell Home? I see that there has been a similar coupon a couple of weeks back, but lacks the additional proportional discount. And the $750 off $1899 doesn't seem as good, of course.

Also, if I get the 9300, is it worthwhile to get the 256mb graphics card since I am not a gamer, but I do like to work on digital photography.

    Thanks for any reply.

I would check with your office and see if your 750 off has a expiration date. If it doesn't expire for awhile, then you might want to try and wait it out. If it expires soon, I would use it and your additional discount. Dell really hasn't been offering any good coupons lately, and I don't look for that to change until it gets closer to the end of August when everyone is going back to school.

In my opinion, the ATI 128mb would be good for you. I would also get the truelife screen, since wxga+ is not the best for photo editing.

    Hope this helps,
    SG
