I have found a brand new D420 on eBay for $935. Is this a good deal?

Alohagirl92 - I have bought two Dell's off of eBay and had good luck myself. That said, I cannot recommend buying a "new" Dell off of eBay for a couple of reasons: it might not actually be "new", you may run into warranty issues, you could wind up paying a lot to have it shipped and insured, and it may not be the exact configuration you want. Having bought (including for my daughters) over 10 laptops in the past four years, for me anyway, I would rather pay a little more and get exactly what I want with a full up, full one (or more) year warranty directly from Dell or (lately for me) from HP.

Thanks, Jelly. I've bought 4 laptops in the past two years, but they've all been Macs, so I'm not as familiar with the Dell game. I really need an ultraportable, though and the MacBook Pro doesn't cut it for traveling.
