I spilt beer on my finger pad and the left button clicker on my l502x doesn't work. Took off the palm rest to get under the finger tracker and the mechanical part of the button works fine so I think it's a circuit problem. Can I spray some Electronic Wash (Tuner Wash) anywhere on the area I think is messed up to fix it?

also this is my finger pad

And the circled part is what the button looks like flipped upside down with the palm rest off.

So can I just spray this electric cleaner in there?

    Thanks for the help.

The ribbon cable itself should be fine unless it had physical damage.

If the beer got into the connectors for the cable it could be causing issues with electrical continuity.

Tuner cleaner spray will not harm things, so you can try cleaning the touch pad area, and the contacts if you feel so inclined, the left button does have a micro switch there, chances are thats where the problem is IMO.

    Good Luck

    may sure

    thanks a lot!

I fixed it btw by tampering with the mechanical advice and spraying the HELL OUT of the encased part. Put it back together and vuala!

We sometimes use that electronics wash at work, it works miracles for 10 bucks. Good to hear it worked out for you.
