    Emergency: e1705 Very quiet, 70deg cel idle GPU?

    hey, i got my e1705, and its really quiet, i dont hear any fans at all, and the idle temp of my gpu is currently 71 celcius, is thier any way i can look at the fan status, i dont know whats going on, notebook review, come to me rescue!

    nm its at 73 degrees celcius idle and i dont here any fans

    Well, what's the problem? It's still running, it's still stable and it's quiet as well? Sounds like a good deal to me.

    For the record, the control panel for NVidia GPU's is by default set to alert you when the temp reaches 130 degrees (in desktop systems, at least. Don't know about laptops). GPU's do get hot, but 70'ish degrees isn't anything to worry about. At least as long as the computer works fine.

    Yea, theres not really any danger persay. The cpus can go beyond 90c, also for quite some time now Intel CPUs have had internal protection that downclocks the cpu if it gets to hot to avoid damage. That said, you can use I8kfanGUI I think for that model to manualy turn the fan on.
