Anyone know how to do it ?

Got the Fingerprint scanner to work smoothly - now would like whenever I start Firefox to simply swipe my finger instead of keep typing my firefox password.

Suggestions are highly appreciated - Thanks.

You didn't follow the instructions did you? ;)

Go into USER SETTINGS and then PASSWORD BANK. Make sure FF is selected under "Web Browser Support"

Where inside Embassy Security Center should these 'User Settings' be

On mine it appears on the left
    Embassy Home
    Trusted Platform Module
    Windows Logon
    Preboot Manager
    Passwords
    Backup / restore

    Thanks

Sorry, I'm using an m1330 which has a UPEK reader so I can't help. My apologies!

Khris, my D630 also has a UPEK reader - just slightly to the centre than the M1330 ;)

Software should be the same, I guess.

For whatever reason, is sounds like you have different reader software installed however.....and since it's different, I can't offer any suggestions. :)

Have you tried checking to see if there is updated software to download from Dell?

Thanks for your reply. Just received this D630 and today downloaded from support.dell.com all new drivers - thus guess I've got what's newest.

Still wondering how to have Firefox main password embedded into this UPEK reader...

What do you mean by "Firefox main password"?

Firefox has a feature that enables storing passwords in its vault. Once there, access is given upon entering the master password.

Whenever one stumbles into a site where userid/password is required and Firefox has stored it, it automatically fills those fields. To do it Firefox requires the master password to be typed into.

This master password is also required on Tools/Options/Security/Show Passwords

    Thanks.

Don't think what you're trying to do is possible.

When you save passwords, you should be having the Reader save them, not FireFox.
