I just got a 500GB Wester Digital Blue drive, got the hard drive cage and connector and screws for it, but they're for a 1735. BIOS and Device manager both see the drive but windows explorer does not, I tried restarting twice and disabling and then re-enabling it, to no avail. Any hints or tips?

    thank you all very much

You might have to assign it a letter in Computer Management. You'd do it under "Change Drive Letter and Paths".
