    Erase Harddrive

    I just got a new harddrive but i took the other one out and everything and i realized i left everything on it. is there anyway that i can erase that harddrive that i am sending back to dell without putting it back into the computer?

    You could put it in external case usb case and format the drive.

    haha that is a good reason, have you ever tried running linux on your laptop? i have been thinking about try suse or redhat but i heard it doesnt work too well on laptops

    nice i might try running suse on my laptop eventually then after i get all the bugs worked out on it for sure, hopefully longhorn is good and fast

    I don't get what people have against XP. When you set it up right, it's generally better than 2K.

    Acronis privacy expert is a good product. You can scrub your hard drive (format doesn't do anything). If you want to run a really good data elimination, it could take 10 hours, so set it and leave it run.
