Dell estimates my delivery date (Toronto, Canada) to be today:

    Estimated Delivery Date is:10/7/08

Yet on the tracking system that Purolator provides, it says that the shipment is still "In Transit in U.S."

The shipment shipped Sunday. I'm presuming that the "delivery date" likely refers to delivery at their local depot rather than delivery to me?

Well, the delivery date refers to when the laptop will be delivered to *you*... And the ESD is usually a bit off than normal, but its the opposite to your case.. usually the EDD is quiet far off, and you get your laptop' soon.. the EDD' are the max estimate.

May be they messed up with your EDD or may be you still have to wait for *this day* to end :) you never know...
