Hey guys, i had been wired to the net several occasions for when I wanted a reliable connection, like when I was downloading big files. Anyway, my family are a bunch of klutz's and when they would come into my room, the first thing they would do is trip on the wire and it would pull on my laptop. Basically, the port has 2 pins that are bent out of shape.

Now then, what are my options?

Try to get it fixed by dell? I suppose the port is connected to the motherboard, thus making this very costly.

Take it to a computer shop and ask them if they can bend the pins back into position? I highly doubt computer shops are capable of this...

Make use of the express card slot and buy an express card that has an Ethernet port? Seems like the most reasonable choice, but I cant find any cards that are expressport.

Buy a USB Ethernet port? This sounds good, but a little costly, up to 30 dollars for a linksys one.

Any suggestions? Comments? thanks for reading!
