Is there any chance that sometime I could buy a SSD drive (when the prices come down) and slap it into my 1720's second drive bay, along with my 160gb 7200rpm drive?

You'd need the adapter for the hard drive.
But you need that for adding any second hard drive to the 1720.

Thought so, I remember seeing that in another thread. If I have that, can I just install the SSD like any other drive? Anyone have a clue as to what SSD prices will do in the next year or two? (Hey, that rhythms!)
