Am I obligated to return my original notebook if the replacement is in crappier condition than what I wanted to exchange my original notebook for?

I wanted to exchange my notebook because of an uneven chassis before I read on this site that you can "correct" it on your own, and I finally received the replacement notebook and it isn't up to my standards.

Am I still obligated to return my original notebook for this piece of garbage?

You can keep whichever one is best.
