My dell service lady has dropped off the map, so I was wondering if you guys know; my system's being exchanged because of some keyboard flex (all I wanted was a new keyboard..) so UPS are bringing me a new one. Do I have to give them my current one there and then, or do they leave the new one with a shipping label so I can return this one to them within a time limit? Trying to find out whether I need to get this one back home from university!

    Thanks.

You can always get on Chat or Phone with another Rep for advisement, because you can't get ahold of your rep.

No, you don't have give your current lappy to the UPS delivery person. Dell will issue you a return label to return the defective to them. You have to have it returned w/in 10 of receipt of your replacement lappy.

If you don't receive one, you can contact Dell & they will e-mail one to you (I had to do that on 2 returns). Also, Dell has a contract 3rd Party retrieval service they use called OnProcess, to "help the customer return the defective unit to Dell". Within about 10 days you will prolly also receive a letter from them, advising on how to return & they will also include a PrePaid Label.

    Hope that helps. :)
