My first m1530 had a defective case and Dell was kind enough to exchange it for a new system. Now that I have both computers in front of me, I was wondering if I could simply swap the hard drives in order to save all the data I have in the current notebook.

Both of the systems have the same size hard-drive if anyone is thinking that I'm trying to pull a fast one on dell.

    Thanks.

u can safely swap the hard drive and there wont be a problem. however if the systems are not of the same config u may have to reinstall windows
