    Experience with Open Box Dells?

    Just purchased an open box dell( Deal or No Deal?). I'm not really sure what to expect. The comp I got is only a couple months old and is HIGHLY warrantied. Should I be worried about anything? Anybody have any good/bad experiences with an open box Dell?

    I've made several outlet purchases, been happy with all of them, even the scratch and dents are very difficult to distinguish from brand new, the outlet is always the first place I will look from now on

    open box meaning outlet? They are fully tested again before being sold to customers so yes, they are generally in good shape. Besides you have the warranty and everything is the same as buying a built to order or ready to ship brand new one except you're paying less and in some cases much less.

    outlet seems to be the US version of www.dfsdirect.ca . They carry off-lease and open box dells.

    I'm glad you guys had good experiences with them. 2/2 good experiences so far...

    When I first get the computer... besides reformating to remove the bloatware... is there anything that I should check or do to make sure the computer is in tip top condition?
