I need an explanation of my new e1505's warranty and service contract. I know I bought a 3-year warranty. The following is what I see in my Systems & Peripherals list on Dell.com:

Description - Provider - Start Date - End Date - Days Left
    Limited Technical Support - DELL - 7/31/2006 - 7/31/2007 - 364
    Next Business Day - QLX - 7/31/2007 - 7/30/2009 - 730
    Next Business Day, Includes Nights/Weekends - QLX - 7/31/2006 - 7/31/2007 - 364

So, it appears I have some sort of coverage from now through 7/30/09, which is 3 years, but exactly what kind of coverage?

Does Dell support me for year 1, then 'QLX' for the next 2 years? Who/What is QLX? A third-party company?

Year 1 has Limited Tech Support. Does that mean 'no' tech support in years 2 and 3? If I call Dell in years 2 and 3 will they reject me?

Why only Next Bus Day in years 2 and 3? What about year 1?

Thanks in advance for any info!!!

I think it is basically how dell breaks up for thier records.

You'll receive limited support from Dell 24/7 for the next 3 years. QLX is the third party company that Dell uses to do the at home service. Dell will send you any small parts and give support over the phone, but anytime big parts need to be replaced, they will put in a request to QLX. A tech from QLX will contact you to arrange a time.

I'm not sure about QLX and the business days. I thought they provided you support nights/weekends throughout the 3 years, but they might only do it for the first year. Then after that, they will work on your laptop during business hours.
