    Does anybody know the number where I can call to know how much it will cost to extend my warranty. Thanks in advance

    You should be able to do this online, through Dell, or over the phone. Remember credit card orders tend to have another year of warranty automatically.

    I took the basic one year cover and since then I have been phoned a couple of times asking if I would like to take the basic three year cover (non-accidental damage cover) for £105 UK instead of the £176 UK it cost when I bought my 6400. I haven't taken them up on this offer yet, but £105 doesn't seem a bad price for three years, but does it start when my current year has ended or from the day I purchase it?

    I think only Amex offers the 1 year extended warrenty

    There are many credit card companies that offer an extended warranty. Check your card details to see if you qualify. I do know that you need to put the entire amount on one credit card to qualify.

    Only one of my credit card providers offer free extended warranties, but unfortunately of all the things they don't cover the list includes notebooks/laptops, PCs/computers and gaming consoles.
