    I have a 1720, and I am looking for an external TV tuner INDEPENDENT of Win Media Center. I want it mainly to download TV shows onto my computer and to transfer footage from my VHS tapes.

    Try the new Visiontek (ATI) TV wonder 600 USB 2.0 it is Vista and WMC compatable and costs about $100.00 with remote.
