    Hey guys and gals,

I am thinking of getting a 1420 with the GeForce 8400M GS. I have a 22" widescreen monitor that I would like to hook up to the laptop when I am at home. My question is about the resolution. If I hook up my 22" widescreen to the vga port on the 1420, can I get 1650X1050 resolution? Thanks in advance.

I'd also like to know the answer to this... and what the impact of having only a VGA output (rather than DVI) is likley to have on the quality of the external monitor display?
