    How do i set my external mouse so it can bring my system out of stand by when i click the button? I have a E1505.

    What kind of external mouse do you have? I would think it works by default, but there may be a setting in the device properties which will say something like "allow this device to bring the system out of standby."

    Microsoft notebook optical mouse 3000. I cant find anything, it used to work until i had to re format the computer.

    close the lid to put it in standby, open it to bring it back :)

    You have to enable the USB to wake up using external devices in the bios setup. It is towards the bottom of the list in the setup, I don't remember what tab it is under.
