If I want a 9300 for casual gaming, doesn't have to be like full specs, but for games like battlefield 1942, or DC, or Sims 2, will a 1.6 be sufficent, or should I Pay 200 more and get the 1.86? or go even past that and pay another 200 for the 2.0? Or should I get more ram, or a better battery etc?

More RAM and a better graphics card would be a better investment if you had $200 rather than a .26 GHz jump in processor. Going all the way to 2.0GHz just isn't worth it, but if I were you and you could afford it I would consider the 1.86GHz option if there's room in the budget -- if not 1.6 Sonoma processor is fine.

Go with the P-M 1.86 processor and take the extra 200 hundred dollars and put it toward the 256mb Nvidia GeForce 6800 and 1 gig of ram. The 2.0 performance would only be noticeable if you were going for benchmarking and playing intensive games, Auto CAD, or a intensive multimedia program.

    *Dell Inspiron 9300, P-M 1.86ghz 533mhz FSB, 1GB DDR2 533mhz ram, 17inch UXGA+ screen with TrueLife, 256mb Nvidia GeForce 6800, 60gb 7200rpm drive, XP Pro SP2, WiFi*

*Sony MDR-G74SL Headphones for music and gaming, best 40 dollar pair i have ever bought!*
