    Extremly fast vostro 1700 builds now???

    Over the summer I ordered an inspiron 1720 and it took nearly two months due to delays, and finally when it got here someone stole it from the door...

    So after insurance and crap i got my money back, and last night ordered a vostro 1700 with same specs since there werent any inspiron deals...

    Now the new vostro ordered the 9/16 has a shippping date of 9/21?!??

    Did dell get out of their delay crisis? or do u think im gonna get a million delayed emails as usual like the inspirons?

    it seems like vostros tend to ship a lot faster than inspirons

    how did they steal it from your door? i thought the carriers weren't supposed to leave it without a signature

    Let me tell you one thing, thats only for the 1700's and 1500's. The 1400's are still taking 3-4 weeks to arrive, especially in the UK.

    Well i shortend the story a bit, i went to europe for 2 weeks ( which in there the laptop came ) and my apartment complex has a policy that if ur not there the main office signs for it and puts it in thier mailroom that you just go pickup from later... Well i come back from europe all excited for the laptop ive been waiting for 2 months.. and turns out someone stole it from the mail room.
