Call Dell and have them send you a new LCD and someone to install it as that would be a manufacturer defect. There is no way you can take it out without completely taking apart the LCD screen and it would be ****ed hard to put it back together.

I called them, and they said they'll have to send a dispatch to have it looked at? How do I ask them to send me a replacement?

Let them fix it, it's not an easy operation to do yourself.

that's an interesting problem. one that would drive me completely insane, too.

unless you are very comfortable taking apart/putting together your notebook, i would also recommend letting a dell rep do it.

Thnx guys, I called Dell and they've decided that I should send in the computer and have the screen replaced. Hope nothing would be wrong when it comes back. The question that's bugging me right now is... HOW did it get THERE? I can imagine dust getting in, but something like an eye lash?!!!????

Its like a finger in a bowl of chili or some pills in a mcdonald cheese burger. Anyways, when are you sending the laptop in? Did you back up your hard drive just in case?
