I just noticed this the last two night.... I play DAOC for long periods of time 3+ hours.. on my DELL 9100 (128 MB video card) and noticed that the laptop was getting hot and i did not hear the fan running.. both times when i quit the game and returned to windows the fans started up....

Is there something in windows that controls the fans and for some reason is not running while playing an intensive 3D game?
