I'm looking for a new laptop recently, and I played with DELL customization
a lot. However, I got confused about the difference of the FSB speed.
I did some research about FSB, and it is the data bus between memory and CPU. For Intel CPUs, they have 800MHz and 667MHz options, and for the memory it has only the 667MHz option. But, I confused. Usually, 800MHz CPU FSB is better than 667MHz, but does the performance increase with different speed between CPU and memory (CPU: 800MHz and MEM: 667MHz)? Is it worth to choose a CPU with 800MHz FSB for higher price?
Thanks for your answers~

if you have two identical modules of 667mhz memory (memory is almost always shipped in pairs) then either module can access the bus. between the two of them they can saturate an 800mhz bus.
